About the Program

Pyle & Associates welcomes internship candidates eager to gain firsthand experience in government relations. Flexible schedules and a stipend are available to qualified candidates. The Legal Intern will assist the General Counsel in their government relations work in Washington, DC. This includes advocating on behalf of various food companies and the Independent Bakers Association.

Interns will learn about federal administrative law, state/federal employment law, and federal food regulations; how to identify and research legal issues; how to write a legal memorandum utilizing proper structure, format, and citations; and learn about the function and purpose of a trade association and government relations firm.

About the Position 

  • Research federal employment and food laws, regulations, and emerging policy issues.

  • Prepare legal memoranda for the General Counsel analyzing such issues.

  • Attend congressional hearings, virtually or in-person.

  • Assist General Counsel with writing constituent letters to their representatives on The Hill.

  • Monitor baking industry news at the state and federal level.

  • Full-time (9am-5pm) or part-time internships available.
